My Nephew's Birthday Party

On Sunday I went to Chipmunks with my family.  We went there to celebrate my nephew’s birthday.  His name is Deandre and he turned 2 years old.  Our family all got together to celebrate his birthday at Chipmunks.

There were a lot of balloons tied up in the little children’s area.  That is the area for children aged between 0 and 4 years old.  Deandre had a birthday cake.  It was a strawberry and orange cake and it said “Happy Birthday Deandre”.  The cake tasted like strawberry and chocolate cake.  It was yum!  We all sang Happy Birthday to Deandre and Deandre danced as we sang to him.  He was happy and I was happy too.

We also had some ice blocks.  They were all chocolate and mine tasted good.  They were very big and when I had finished eating mine I felt as if I had eaten hundreds of ice blocks.  I had a good time at Deandre’s birthday.  But at the end Deandre’s favourite balloon fell out of the car and it popped.  Deandre cried so I gave him one of my balloons.  I gave him his favourite coloured balloon and he stopped crying.

Cultural Night

Can you believe it?
Last night the children went to the hall. It was the cultural festival night.
There were six culture groups. I belong to the Chinese group. First it was Maori group who danced. Next the Chinese, then the Rarotongan, and European Fusion was next. Then it was American Pop. Finally it was the Samoan group. The Samoan group danced and swayed. We waited until Mrs Bullot finished talking. Then we went downstairs. The Chinese group went to Room 7. At home, my mum asked "What did you dance ?". "I danced with the Chinese group and Isaac danced the hip hop," I said.

Let's celebrate Mission day!

We should celebrate Mission day so we can donate money to the orphans in India.
They need money to buy clothes to wear. If they have money they can have clean water, paper and pencils to use. They need food to eat so they will not get hungry. They need books to read.
It is important to donate money to the orphans.

In Autumn the leaves change their colours. They change into orange, gold, red, brown and yellow.

St Patrick's Day

St Patrick's day is important because we can learn new things.
On St Patrick's day we do sponge painting in room 6. In room 5 we made rainbows to keep. In room 2 we coloured and wrote words on the shamrock. In room 1 we played a game of bowling. It was girls vs boys. We were fishing words in room 4 about St Patrick's . In room 8 we made  leprechauns with glitter.  It was fun!
