Trip to Botanic gardens

                         Botanic Gardens

Last Tuesday the whole school went to Botanic gardens.My friends and I Anamaria and Roneeza went to see the pretty and colourful flowers.The flowers were pink,purple,white and blue.Some of the flowers were big,tall and stinky.The flowers that I liked were the pink ones.

Afterwards we went to see some herbs.We tasted the herbs with Oliver it tasted bad.Then it was nearly lunch time before it was lunch time I took two herbs for my brother and mother.My brother and mother said it was disgusting.So I went to go eat my lunch.

After a while my friends and I were talking about plants.We were all happy to visit Botanic gardens.Eventually we caught the bus to school to go home.

Hello Gita. I am eight years old from St.Patricks School. Thank you for organising the healthy lunch for us.I really appreciate  the lunch you have given to our class.I don't always have healthy lunch. 

I liked the fruit cup with its berries and the other fruits in it.The cookie with chocolate tasted nice.It was delicious because of the honey which I really liked.

Last night, I was playing in my room and I didn't know that a little magic rocking horse came in through my open window. As I was about to put away my tablet, I saw it on the floor so, I gently picked it up. It was very small.To my surprise, the magic horse suddenly became big like a normal horse. "I have magic powers and I can take you anywhere you want to go.", said the magic horse. "Mmm... I think I would like to go somewhere with my family but give me a minute to think of a beautiful place to take them to", came my reply.

The magic horse asked me again, "Where do you want to go?" "I wanted to go to Australia", I replied.  So we went to Australia and we had lots of fun there. We stayed with my aunty for a year.It was cool to see my aunty and meet my cousins for the first time. We had parties to celebrate special occasions . 

When the year ended, the magic horse took us back home to New Zealand then it eventually flew back to its kingdom in the magical land of the  pixie horses.

Materials-a carrot top,a small container,a jug of water.

Steps :

1.Cut the carrot top.
2.Put the carrot top in a container.
3.Put some water inside the container.
4.Put the container with carrot top on the window sill where the sun shines.
5.Watch it grow.
6.Did it work?         How can you tell?

The three little Butterflies by Angelina

Success Criteria: I know I can do this when I wrote a story about butterflies.

Once upon a time their lived three little butterflies.Their names are Mina, Lina, and Tina .At night they went to shopped for food.When they finished shopping they went to their cousin's house and got ready to go the party.

Once they were at the party they fell asleep,so their cousin took them home.But before they can go home a bat came.It was looking for butterflies to eat.So the butterflies called their dad.Their dad said," it is okay, I will help you". Their dad tricked the bat and it flew away. 
Then the happiness came again,because the bat never came back.

My Mum And Dad

In the holidays my dad came home and he asked my mum if they should get back together.  Then my mum said that the family will change if we get back together.  So she said it’s a no, and they had an argument. 

My dad kept on coming back to see the family.  My dad and I went shopping for things.  We shopped for dolls, make up and roller skates.  My dad and I got gifts for everyone in the family.  We also got a gift for my dad.

My mum loves us just the way I love him.  He loves me too. 

I talked to my dad about coming to Skateland and he said, “Yes”.  It was fun skating at Skateland.  We said, “Thank you”.  He said, “It is ok”.  Then we went home.
