                             Chickens

Learning Intention:we are learning to write a report about the life of a chickens.
Success Criteria: I know I am successful when I can write a report about chickens using adjetives.

 Chicken are a type of bird. It is also a poultry.

Their colours of their feathers are black,white and brown.They like to eat bugs and whatever they can find in the ground.Hens have two legs and bigger wings than the chicks.They have a wattle and a comb but smaller than a roosters comb.

Roosters like to crow.Their crowing wakes up animals and farmers.Their comb and wattle is long and big.It is also red.They eat corn kernels,seeds and vegetables.  

Chicks are yellow and small.They like to eat worms and bread that we give to them.Chicks are birds but very small and can not fly.They have two legs,with the colour orange and a pink beak.They are  so fluffy and soft.

Chickens are very noisey.

For all people who are sick and in pain


L.I.-W.A.L.T-write a prayer of the faithful.

For those who are in pain with brain damage, look after them that they will be healed God.

For all those who are sick and in pain at hospital,please God help the doctor to find a cure for the people.

For all those who have cancers and heart problems,God help the doctors and scientist to find a cure for them.

For all those who are injured in war,take care of them lord.

L.I.-We are learning about the torch used in 1996 Summer Olympic.
Success Criteria:I know I can do this when I can write and report informations I gathered about 1996 Summer Olympic torch.

History:Flame and Torch
The ancient Greeks believed that fire was given to the humankind by "Prometheus" and considered to have a sacred qualities.Mirrors were used to focus the sun rays  to ignite flames that would burn perpetually in front the Greek Temples.The Olympic Flame began in 1936 in Berlin games.3,330 runners brought the torch with flames.
Today,the Olympic Flame is lit in front of the ruins of the Temple of Hera in Olympia,Greece

The meaning of the torch design: It resembles a Greek column.It features 22 aluminum "reeds" intended to represent the number of times that the Games has been held.

            How to Make a Carrot Cake
Ingredients:
 180g- self raising flour.
 350g- caster sugar.
1 teaspoon of baking powder.
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon.
3 eggs.
8 oz (220g) grated raw carrot.
1/4 teaspoon 
10 1/8 oz (300ml) sunflower oil.
Frosting.
180g-cream cheese.
180g-melted butter.
220g-icing sugar.
1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence.
Zest of one orange.

Steps:

1:Preheat the oven 350 Fahrenheit.
2:Mix dry ingredients into large bowl, flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and cinnamon.  
3:In another bowl ,mix the wet ingredients.
4: Pour mixture in the large bowl with flour.
5: Add the grated carrot and sift.
6: Use the pastry brush to coat the tin with melted butter.
7: Pour cake mix in.
8: Put in oven from 35-40 minutes.
9: Make sure that the cake is thoroughly cooked before taking out.
10: Make icing.
11: Place cake where it will be presented nicely.
12: Add icing and decorate, if you like.
13:Serve and enjoy.
